PMTCT ADVISOR REPORTS TO: PROJECT DIRECTOR LOCATION: ZAMFARA STATE, NIGERIA
RESPONSIBILITIES: – Work with project director to ensure measurable outcomes of a US government funded HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment program are in alignment with PEPFAR AND government of Nigeria goals – provide technical and programmatic leadership to coordinate PMTCT/HCT services in Zamfara states – develop and conduct technical assistance to oversee QA intervention monitor and maintain technical quality of activities in all aspects of the projects deliverables, especially as it relates to HIV testing, CD4 testing, EID AND ARV issues in agreements with national and international standards – work with M&E staff to implement existing
M&E plans that will feed data into the national comprehensive HMIS grid – contribute to ZAMFARA SMOH capacity building and PMTCT/HCT implementation plans by working closely with the state SACA – train and supervise staff and facility based staff to implement PMTCT/HCT – work and liaise closely with civil society organisation of persons living with HIV to recruit women peer support volunteers at PMTCT/HCT Sites to support the projects escorts and buddy and referral network systems – document programmatic reports, achievements, success stories and challenges in a timely manner as required by the project – work closely with the facility staff and local NGOs to identify suitable sites to carry out HIV outreach services within the targeted areas
REQUIREMENTS – medical doctor or nurse midwife or any closely related health care professional, specialisation in health, MPH, MPA will be added advantage with at least 3 years experience in the area of PMTCT/HCT services, past experience working on a CDC OR USAID funded project will be a plus also – familiarity with FMOH, SMOH, SACA, LACA structures and functions especially as it relates to HIV/AIDS is desirable and experience in HIV/AIDS programmes with focus in PMTCT/HCT in Nigeria – experience in reproductive healthcare related services and ability to multi-task will be desired also – excellent oral and written communications, presentation, supervision skills and ability to speak Hausa language are essential
STRATEGIC INFORMATION OFFICER REPORTS TO: PROJECT DIRECTOR LOCATION: ZAMFARA STATE, NIGERIA
RESPONSIBILITIES: – ensure measurable outcomes of a US government funded HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment program are in alignment with PEPFAR AND government of Nigeria goals, are well documented and reported - take the lead and work with the team for the development, implementation and assessment of quality assurance components of projects M&E activities – train facility service providers, program’s technical officers and others to provide and report quality M&E data in the project state and monitor PMTCT/HCT service delivery activities in the state – collaboration with the state team, ensure that necessary M$E planning, budgeting and management activities occur to facilitate smooth and efficient program functioning in the state – capture and document program results, successes, challenges and lessons learned as required by the project
REQUIREMENTS: – health related degree, degree/diploma in computer, data processing, social sciences with at least 2 years related experience
