Union of Teachers (NUT) - Applications are invited from suitable
qualified candidates to fill the under listed vacant posts in the Nigeria Union
of Teachers (NUT):
1.) State Secretary
Locations: For Anambra, Cross River, Ekiti, Jigawa, Kogi,
Lagos, Oyo, Rivers, Sokoto and Zamfara State Wings.
Qualifications
- Candidates must possess at least a good University degree in Education, the Arts or Social Sciences with a minimum of five (5) years post qualification teaching experience.
- Higher degrees, years of teaching and Trade Union experiences will be an added advantage.
- Candidates must not be earning higher than salary grade level 10 presently
Entry Point: CONPSS 10.
2.) Assistant Secretary
Locations: For Adamawa, Cross River, Ekiti, Jigawa, Kogi,
Lagos, Oyo, Rivers, Sokoto and Zamfara State Wings.
Qualification:
- Candidates must possess at least a good University degree in Education, the Arts or Social Sciences with a minimum of three (3) years post qualification teaching experience, and must not be earning higher than salary grade level 09 presently.
Entry Point: CONPSS 09
3.) Cooperative Officer
Locations: For Cross River and Lagos State Wings.
Qualifications
- Candidates must possess a good University degree or Higher National Diploma in Co-operative Studies and/or Community (Social) Development.
- Candidates who possess GCE O/L, or TC II plus OND/NCE in Co-operative Studies or Community Development may also wish to apply.
- Candidates must not be earning higher than salary grade level 08.
Entry Point: CONPSS 08.
4.) Executive Officer (Accounts)
Location: Edo State Wing
Qualification
- Candidates must possess NCE, OND or HND Certificate or University degree in the relevant disciplines.
- Adequate experience in relevant areas will be an added advantage.

5.) Executive Officer (Computer Operator)
Location: For Cross River, Lagos and Enugu State Wings
Qualification
- Candidates must possess NCE, OND or HND Certificate or University degree in the relevant disciplines.
- Adequate experience in relevant areas will be an added advantage.
Entry Point: CONPSS 07
6.) Confidential Secretary
Location: For Kaduna State Wing
Qualification
- Candidates must possess School Certificate or (CSIII) GCE with Credit Pass in English Language and OND.
- 100/50 WPM in short hand and typewriting respectively or equivalent professional qualification.
Entry Point: CONPSS 08
7.) Executive Officer
Location: For Lagos State Wing.
Qualification
- Candidates must possess NCE, OND or HND Certificate or University degree in the relevant disciplines.
- Adequate experience in relevant areas will be an added advantage.
Entry Point: CONPSS 08
8.) Accountant
Locations: For Kano, Oyo and Ogun State Wings.
Qualification
- Candidates must possess a good degree or Higher National Diploma in Accountancy with a minimum of three (3) years post qualification experience, and must not be earning higher than salary grade level 09 presently.
- Teaching experience will be an added advantage.
Entry Point: CONPSS 09.
Mandate
Candidates are advised to apply for not more than
one position. Multiple applications will lead to outright disqualification.
Age
Candidates applying for any of the positions must not
be above forty (40) years of age. Evidence of birth certificate must be
attached.
Condition of Service
All posts are pensionable and fringe
benefits are attractive. Candidates must be very sound and robust in health and
should be ready to engage in travels at very short notice.
