Role Summary/Purpose:
- As a Commercial Development Associate, you will join a dynamic and fast growing team within GE Africa's Global Growth & Operations (GG&O) organization supporting GE's growth expansion initiative in Nigeria.
- Your responsibilities will include working with the Commercial Development Manager in supporting various GE businesses along the lines of business intelligence, market entry strategy and strategy execution designed to improve business approach that would translate into sales as well as in
- Drive business initiatives in the core GE businesses including Power & Water, Oil & Gas, Transportation, Healthcare and Aviation
- Source and provide business intelligence support in developing opportunities
- Lead market research and status updates on a project-by-project basis for both upcoming and ongoing projects
- Conduct market sizing (TAM, SAS) in order to identify and evaluate potential opportunities for GE
- Actively participate in and coordinate meetings with internal GE businesses, project stakeholders and other representatives
- Project management including preparing status update presentations for internal and external project partners
- Work with the Commercial Development Manager in the development of new business models and re-modeling existing business models to help to convert business opportunities
- Work within the matrix organization.
- Bachelor's degree (MSc or MBA degree will be advantageous) and at least 6 years cognate work experience
- Strong analytical/problem solving and research skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a group
- Ability to synthesize large amounts of data and see the "big picture"
- Enjoy interacting at all levels with confident presentation skills
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude and experience working in a team environment
- Proficient with Microsoft suite of products (Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
- Ability to work unsupervised and be self-motivated
