Hydrateq is recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Position: Technology Officer

Location: Lagos

Job Description;

• The Information Technician is responsible for installing and maintaining computer hardware, software and networks.
• The IT officer reports to the senior administrative officer and provides hardware and software maintenance, training and consultation, and recommendations about future planning and development of resources.
• Providing these services in an effective and efficient manner will ensure maximum access to and implementation of technology services and resources.

Job Responsibilities;

• Troubleshoot hardware, software and network operating system
• Be familiar with all computer hardware and software
• Be familiar with network operating systems and servers.
• Provide orientation to new users of existing technology
• Train staff about potential uses of existing technology
• Provide recommendations about accessing information and support
• Maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources
• Maintain log or list of required repairs and maintenance
• Make recommendations about purchase of technology resources
• Provide network access to all staff
• Install work stations
• Connect and set up hardware
• Load all required software.

Qualifications and Skills

• B.Sc with at least a second class lower degree in computer engineer, elective electronic engineer or any related disciplines or a relative HND.
• Minimum of a year relevant post NYSC experience.
• Computer hardware and software systems and programs
• Computer networks, network administration and network installation
• Computer troubleshooting
• Computer viruses and security
• E-mail and internet programs
• Ability to install and administer computer hardware, software and networks
• Team building skills
• Analytical and problem solving skills
• Decision making skills
• Effective verbal, presentation and listening communications skills
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role.
• Key experience of working with teams.
