WaterAid is a UK registered international charity dedicated to the
provision of safe water, sanitation and hygiene education to the world's
poorest people. We support local organizations to manage low cost,
sustainable projects and also influence policy makers to secure the
right of poor people to affordable water and sanitation services.
To effectively implement our country strategy, WaterAid in Nigeria is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following positions.
FUNDRAISING & DONOR RELATIONS MANAGER, (ABUJA)
DUTIES/QUALIFICATION
You will be responsible for researching and securing new funding streams for WaterAid in Nigeria, in conjunction with the fundraising team in UK office, as well as managing day-to-day relationship with donor organizations. This includes development of periodic reports to donors and tracking of donor commitments. You will also support partners in developing proposals and identifying fundraising opportunities.
QUALIFICATION
Minimum requirement for this position is a university degree; possession of a post graduate qualification will be an added advantage. You are also expected to have excellent organizational, analytical, facilitation, communication and report writing skills. Minimum years of work experience required is 5, out of which 3 years must be in fund raising I grants management. Experience of working in an international development agency will be an advantage.
SECTOR SUPPORT OFFICER, (ABUJA)
DUTIES/QUALIFICATION
You will provide support in the implementation of the institutional development programme of WaterAid in Nigeria. This involves promoting institutional reforms, sector coordination and supporting partners and the wider WASH sector in Nigeria, taking into account the policy environment. You will be responsible for identifying and building relationships with wider sector development stakeholders for effective collaboration towards the achievement of WaterAid's aim of mainstreaming the essential role of WASH in human development.
Minimum requirement for this position is a university degree with a minimum working experience of 3 years of which 2 years must be in a similar role. Experience in the WASH sector will be an added advantage.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY OFFICER, (ABUJA)
DUTIES/QUALIFICATION
You will be responsible for ensuring and maintaining an effective IT system for WaterAid in Nigeria. This includes systems development, database administration, networking, providing technical support to staff and partners, among other responsibilities,
Minimum requirement is a bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology and relevant professional qualifications, Knowledge of networking design, installation and maintenance of VSAT and servers is also required. You will also have a minimum working experience of 3 years, of which 2 must be in a similar capacity. Experience of working in an international development organization will be an added advantage.
