Kudirat Initiative for Democracy (KIND) is an NGO working to strengthen organizations and create initiatives dedicated to the advancement of women. KIND is looking for suitable candidates to fill the following vacant positions:

1.) Programme Manager
  1. Manage the implementation of projects at rural and urban levels of society.
  2. Develop monitoring and evaluation (M & E) indicators and collect relevant M & E information.
  3. Develop and manage project budgets.
  4. Write proposals and reports.
  5. Supervise staff working art different projects.

2.) Communications Officer
  1. The Communications Officer should be able to:
  2. Oversee and writes speeches; and develop position papers on behalf of the organization.
  3. Edit and prepare manuscripts on 2 levels: Copy editing (grammar, punctuation, syntax and institutional style) and substantive editing (verification of facts and analysis of data).

3. Programme Officers
  1. Manage the implementation of projects at rural and urban levels of society.
  2. Develop monitoring and evaluation (M & E) indicators and collect relevant M & E information.
  3. Develop and manage project budgets.
  4. Write proposals and reports.
Qualifications:
  1. Relevant University Degrees (post graduate degree will be an added advantage).
  2. At least 3 years programme planning and management experience (for the Programme Manager).
  3. Excellent computer skills (knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint is essential).
  4. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  5. Demonstrated skill in using social media tools (for the Communications Officer).
  6. Knowledge and use of graphics and desktop publishing (for the Communications Officer).
  7. Previous communication experience that includes communications and advocacy (for the Communications Officer).
  8. Familiarity with issues (particularly gender, women in leadership and/or public accountability).

In addition, they must be
  1. Able to take initiative and think outside the box to produce agreed results; willing to travel; Under 35yrs of age.
