Programme Manager - Nigeria Stability and Reconciliation Programme at British Council Nigeria
The British Council in Nigeria is looking for a qualified individual
to fill the post of a 'Programme Manager ' for the Nigeria Stability
& Reconciliation Programme based in Abuja. NSRP is a new, high
profile 5-year DFID-funded programme aimed at supporting Nigeria to
prevent and manage conflict non-violently and to reduce the negative
impacts of conflict and violence on the most vulnerable. The Programme
is being managed by the British Council with International Alert and
Social Development Direct.

Purpose of Job:To provide technical and management oversight of the DFID-funded Nigeria Stability & Reconciliation Programme (NSRP), ensuring successful delivery of the programme’s outputs.
The Programme Manager has overall responsibility for managing the team and accountability for delivering an ambitious set of results. You will have substantial experience of managing complex multi-component programmes in one or more areas of: peace building and conflict prevention; security and justice; or governance. You will be familiar with the current discourse on human security and will be able to demonstrate an exceptional aptitude for strategic thinking building relationships within a politically and conflict sensitive environment. An experienced team leader, you will demonstrate a track record of leading teams to deliver results in challenging environments.
